The detailing gurus on here always rate it when people ask. never used it myself though

In it's price range nothing comes close to Onyx for me, seems to add something other waxes in that price bracket and more expensive can't.

Best of Show is my favorite wax ever.

Rich: i know its probally hard to tell but how many thin coats of a clio sized car would those 200ml pots do? rough estimate? Thanks

Not got a definitive amount reply - I reckon a pot will easily last a year if your just using it on your own car.

I used my original pot of P21s same size as the Swissvax every week for about a year ! 40 - 50 layers ?

Thats a good enough answerthanks. I might try a pot next year as if your getting that many coats it probally works out decent value.:)

just as a heads up, Onyx is not recommended for winter protection, but the finish is excellent, i use it as part of my wax upgrade options during the summer....

As Rich has said BOS is a superb product, cost wise it is expensive, but the protective qualities out way the cost.
the wax used in conjunction with the Cleaner products really bring out an amazing finish.

onyx is a very good wax. however, i am beginng to see it is not very durable with the winter weather and salty roads. as such i think i will be going back to my jeffs sealant this weekend.

Went on to Zaino's american site and they recommend using the ZFX accelerator before first application of the Z2, is this just a cleaner or does it provide some kind of bond for the Z2?

  106 GTi
You add it directly to the Z2, it's main purpose is allow multiple coats of Z2 but they say you need it for the first layer. I personally only use it when I want to add multiple layers one after another. My daily drive is wearing a coat of Z2 pro over Klasse AIO and is working fine 2 months on without being ZFX'd

Right, i read it incorrectly, it makes more sense now. Looking for a new sealant for the T and the Zaino stuff does seem to have a good rep, your thumbs up?

Not had a drastic amount of testing, still trying to find time to get it on the GTI, but so far so good from my limited use.

what is a good all round wax, i currently use cheap Meguiars stuff from halfords?

On the 40-50 quid budget get the Swissvax Onyx defiantly the best wax out there for the money, a notch above any of the Dodo Waxes in that price range or more expensive.

That said you can save shed loads of money and get close results with Victoria Concours for only 17 quid or get lots better durability from a pot of Collinite or Meguiars #16 at the sacrafice of some looks.
