Greenlight, so they won't be open till monday as

We will be closing at 1pm on 04/03/2011 as we are moving office

FFS!

Have to hope they're open tomorrow.

Bad times !

Just keep an eye on them when they replace the screen. Make sure they strip out the old sealer, and not just bond over the old sealer.

Who else is there though? I fully expect them to do a terrible job :( They did my mates MINI and left to parts out cos they didn't have them in stock, shambles.

Make sure they are very careful with the rain/light sensor aswell. If they disturb the gel pack, its goosed.

If I was you mate I'd get the yellow pages out and find a local glass fitter. A lot of them do insurance jobs just like Autoglass.

^^^^

Lots of firms aside from Autoglass mate......shame ur not down this way I could have it done same day by an excellent couple of lads, they both deaf and mute/dumb, its the quiestest yet most efficient job Ive witnessed, they do all our company vehicles.

LOL it's a windscreen, in a Clio. Not a Veyron airbrake. Get Autoglass to replace it and it'll be a better fit than than the onion sellers ever managed. Mine stopped howling at 100mph after I had it replaced. Bonus.

Had mine done by Auto windscreens through insurance, no problems and took about 30 mins. The're easy to change apparently including removing the the old goo.

On this subject do they replace the seals around the windscreen when fitting a new one? Mine seem to be coming loose at the top of the screen and I'm sure new seals would help...

Autoglass have always done decentish jobs for me (and they offer a guarantee against the windscreen falling back out) If i was you just make sure you check the windscreen they bring and make sure it has no chips or scratches, make sure it's a thorough check you do aswell because if you spot it after they've left you'll have no comeback. I always request a pilkington glass screen as their the best quality imo and if they say they don't have one in stock i tell them to ring me back when they do.

Thats not too far from you rollo...Could be a cs rescue in the making...

Other side is it might not be a failure but in a few days it may spread right across the windscreen...frost tonight for shropshire

It's booked to be done weds afternoon by autoglass, just assumed i had to use who my insurer said?

I had mine doen by National Glass and they did a very good job of it, guy even commented how weird it was to cut the seal with no dash top on somehow, and then gave me tips on setting the bas levels on the amp!

Week later though a gritter went past me, then 3 chips appear in the top right -.-

I'd much rather use the one SBV116 suggested, but time is an issues, as MOT runs out :(
