now I need to ask about a problem, well not a major issue as such.
When my car is warm and after a good run etc, when being left to idle for about 10 seconds there is a constant but faint knocking
when you rev the engine up it goes away for a while then comes back, EVERYTHING bar the engine itself has been changed, pulleys, belts tensioners, pumps all by Rentec on the 09/05 and the noise was there before hand.
I have heard before it needed the oil changing, but i've done with that with Shell Helix 5w40, changed the filter which was a b**ch to get off and still it's there.
Has anyone had this? starting to think it's the manifold now, tried recording it but it's not loud enough, it's more noticeable inside the car that outside with the bonnet up, which leads me to Manifold and or gasket/bolts?
has done this for long ass time now but a mate rinsed me yesterday so I want it fixed.
