Team Dynamics Pro Race question

I am quite sure I have read all this right but, like a noob, I want to be sure before I go out and spend some money on Tyres.

I bought some black Pro Race 1.2's, they were originally going to be either for the Clio (depending on fitment) or the Proton as 'every day wheels' (proton now in bits so that option is out of the window).

I just wanted to check I have read the sticker correctly (pic of sticker below) and that they will be ok. They are 16", 4x100 (that part is obvious), 7J wheels with an offset of 38. If that's right, they are a perfect fit for the Proton (reason for buying them).

Searching the forum suggests the offset for the PH2 172 is 48.5 and I am almost certain that a smaller the offset will make the wheel stick out more. My car is not lowered, I don't plan on lowering it at all and the standard 172 wheels are quite far from the outer part of the wheel arch (again, pic below) so I am thinking it will all be fine, but wanted to know if anyone had put ET38 wheels on a 172???

I've got the Pro Race 1.2s 16" et38 too and lowered about 50mm all round, no issues what so ever.

Sorry, haven't got pics that show off the difference much, best I have since fitting them. They do fill the arches much better than standard wheels.

IIRC 172 cups ran et38 as standard anyway. Quite a few on et38s on here with no problems either as far as I know. BTW I'm running, 195/45/16 tyres on the front and 205/45/16 on the rear.

Thanks for the replies and the pictures. Looks like I will be fine for fitment and looks like they will look as I expect :approve:

Just need to wait for the posties to get back to work, so I can order soem Tyres from Camskill.
