Temp too low ?

New engine in my car is running fine but my temp gauage shows low temp it stays near the bottom and only when sitting still for a bit does it go close to half way, drops to zero when at motorway speeds,

When I have heating at full its warm but not roasting like before,

Garage thinks its sticky thermostat and they are willing to fit new one if I buy it.
Does this sound about right ?

They offered to put old one in aswell but is not really worth no spending the 15 quid or whatever it is I have a new engine mount coming aswell as magnacore leads I bought off here which they are fitting for free so might as well get the new temp stuff fitted at the same time.

Sure I've read on here numerous times that the magnacore are s**t on 1*2's!

I could well be mistaking for something else though.

The issue with them was the tops on them not sealing the plug hole properly so water could get in, unsure if this has changed now.
