I seem to remember some people having this problem but can't remember! Tried searching!

When in traffic, the RT's temperature shoots up, but when back to normal driving it's goes down under halfway and stays there all the time, only rises when going really slow or in traffic etc...

What's the problem?! as it's doing my head in lol

I had the same problem in my Pug 306 . Turns out its air in the cooling system or it could be your thermostat like manji says . Its worth a try anyway . Take off the cap to the cooling system ( don't know what an rt enigine looks like so i don't know if its a separate bottle away from the radiator or radiator cap ?? ) leave the engine running for for 10 mins or so until it warms up , if its air in the system you might be able to see it bubbling to the surface . Worth a try anyway . It worked on the Pug !
