Temperature thermometer

Need some help, my thermometer (the thing under the wing mirror) is reading at 40deg Celcius! Any ideas whats wrong?? or is it just sha**ed??

New sensor and or check the wiring hasn't come loose

Its under the passenger side wing mirror. Little black bobbly bit. Trace the wires back from there to the loom.

Does it run anywhere behind the sterio?

Mines been doing the same but only since i replaced my sterio, so maybe ive pushed the wires or something cause it was a force to get the sterio in.

got the same prob with mine, just reads 40-42 all the time! think the best thing to do is buy and new mirror about 47 quid i found 1 for, the colour coded shell just pops off and on to the new 1.. the wires all clip out from behind the mirror inside the car!!

Yep £12 or so i think.

They quoted me £70 for the sensor. And £23 for a glass.

But a passenger side mirror for £54 has both the sensor and a glass with it!

2nd one is buy it now for £15.

The wiring goes to the mirror mount then onward to the UCH so messing with the stereo shouldn't affect it.

Climate control doesn't work properly when it's not working (or stolen like mine when both my mirrors went).
