The Auto lock-in Function

On my 182 the Auto-lock function needs me to press the button for it to lock however, on my old mk1 172 it did this automatically as soon as I hit 6mph.

Is this a mechanical fault on my 182 or were they all designed exactly the same?

you can have it on or off the RAID, press the lock button down for 5 seconds iirc to turn it on or off

DOES THE SAME ON my cup, u get in and drive , it locks auto at 5mph , :butt: u can turn it on/off by pressing and holding in ??????

Ahhh ... I need to hold the lock in button for 5 seconds ...
Wicked, I'll switch that on then ... Just thought it might've been a fault

Although I wouldn't have been surprised with renault build quality

Always bothered me when the wife was driving around on her own with it not working properly, still.... At least I know how to switch it on now

Yeah hold down for 5 secs on do the same for off.. when you stop it doesnt unlock.. when you open your door (from the inside) it does..

Ive always wondered if it unlocks if u crash though...

It releases if the engine stop as in you switch the engine off or stall in the event of a crash

Never unlocked when i crashed .

According the the manual its says " ......... remember that in the event of an emergency it may be more difficult for those assisting you to gain access to your vehicle "

I never knew they auto-locked either, until Jain got hers about 5 months after mine. Her's auto-locked straight from the showroom and I had to manually do it.

I got told about holding-the-button-in to activate it. I guess it pays to read the bloody manual, eh!
