The Boston Globe Big Picture Thread

Always forget to bookmark this page.. cheers Chris. Some absolutely stunning photos.

Some awesome photos there, great links.

The ones of the fires are incredible. The G20 ones really capture the atmosphere.

This picture is awesome and kind of freaky at the same time.

Some good pictures in the G20 but haven't they changed the law that you now can't photograph police or civil servants faces through terrorism plots?

Don't believe so, very little that isn't fair game if you are in a public place, just ask Google!

Yeah they changed the law, so if your photography a police office etc they can arrest you under the terroism act.

They all protested out side of scotland yard not long back, but in this case it's power in numbers blar. There looks to be more photographers there than actaul protesters.

Plus a lot of knobbers who just seem up for a bit of a scrap. Check pictures 13, 17 and 30 . The guy running down the street with his top off in 17 is there at 30 and seems to be giving it the "big un" (I know im speculating here)

They would need a very, very good reason to arrest you even if taking pictures of the Police, it’s incredibly unlikely.

Lots of fake blood in the G20 pics as well, talk about trying to provoke anger against the authorities.

Yep, which is why photos like this remain "interesting".
Would love to know what the policeman is saying there. :D

Great stuff, there are more photographers than protesters in most of those photos though!
