Looked at a couple before this one. We travelled up to Leeds for this from a Renault specialist/dealer about 2 weeks ago.

FSH, lux pack, they did the belts & service the week before we got her. few dings and signs of previous paint but was in pretty good shape. Got £500 knocked off for the discs as they were shot. I noticed the door handle locks didn't work on either side, so they changed both as we waited.

So hubby to be drove the R26 & I followed in the trusty Cup ... 3.5 hours solid drive home later, pull up outside & hear a terrible graunching sound from around the cambelt area After many people looking at her we were advised not to drive her, so the AA took her to my V6 specialist in Wiltshire.

She's in bit's as we speak! We think it's possibly the belts been done up too tight, or the fact that the waterpump hasn't been replaced, or the pulleys for the aux belt weren't changed. All is being replaced with the dealers paying which I can't grumble at, they've been very good. So, these are the only pictures I have of her!

Only plans are (all in slow time!)

New discs & pads
RS mats
R26 spoiler
New wheel bolts
New cat back

I cannot wait to machine her!

They look great in black. Id be removing the bad boy tints.
I'd definitely get a short shift sorted, it's an enormous improvement with no downside. They really are underpowered as standard, stage 1 remap makes a massive difference.

I used to work in the building next door, they were shocking when I had problems with my 1.2 Clio years ago, didn't have a clue! Glad I didn't take it for my belts doing there on my 182.

Used to make good money breaking 1*2's that NWP had done the belts on lol.

I like the R26, just not sure Black was the colour for them. They were always missing sideskirts aswell like Naith's.

Well, she's now home! Bloody filthy or whaaat! First thing tomorrow, tints are coming off! Turns out, the belts weren't even genuine!
