The positioning of the indicator stalk

If you have driven both a European car, or a Japanese car, u would notice that sometimes the indicator stalk are on opposite sides.

Do u prefer it on the left hand side, or the right hand side?

I prefer it on the right hand side, as my driving style on motorways, i like to just hold it with one hand and if i need to change lane than i can just flick the indicator and turn...

The Japs do it correctly, which is why many Jap cars have the stalk on the right. The correct way. We're mostly used to it being on the left because most of us drive European cars. UKDM Jap cars move it to left because that's where we think it should be.

Depends on the car really.

Right hand drive stalk on the right.
Left hand drive stalk on the left.

Unfortunately since the majority of cars in the UK are European they all have the stalk on the wrong side to what it should be. Another area often over looked in the RHD conversion.

When you drive some of the cars we do here in the original LHD version often they make more sense. Button placements etc are just better.

i like on the right, its better for cruising, right hand on the wheel left arm resting on the centre console hand on gearstick... then you have your right fingers to indicate...
