I'm quite surprised at that response from you! Especially as we met at a clio meet a few years back at squires and you're usually at other meets. Didn't you go to the jap meet too?

Bit strange as you said you had the day off so might be able to make it.

I think you misunderstand me. I wasn’t judging you guys, I was judging myself. I wasn’t calling you guys chavs (though 99% of the population probably would as you’re car enthusiasts) but I was just viewing from an outside perspective.

Re the jap meet, I think that’s slightly different as I always go to squires on the bike anyway and also I have a jap car so it kind of fits a bit more!

Great meet @dann2707 070707. I reckon @Sj1782 just destroyed most of the ozone layer after burning through about 30 litres of oil today. Must have a feed system in place like NOS.

16 years ago I went on a meet and there was this 40 year old guy there. I remember thinking;

‘whats this 40 year old guy hanging around with a load of clio chavs for?’.

Now, I’m that 40 yr old guy.

I get you, I remember being 15 and my girlfriends dad was into old fords and went to shows, I thought he was a bit of a loser because of it

Yeah the weather was good, until it banged it down on the way home.

As for the old man at a meet thing, this wasn't a bunch of kids in a car park doing burnouts and runing each other over and neither was it a group of old duffers talking about how they removed the fuel tank to chrome plate the m10 bolts underneath it or how they clean the tread on the tyres. This was a group enthusiasts enjoying a drive out together. The standard of driving was very good and we spent 85% of the time in our cars so there was very little millennial chatter that I didn't understand 🤣. It was a good day out and I'd do it again any day with that group 👍.
