Things to look for when buying a 172

In about 1-2 months i am going to sell my car and should have enough funds to buy a mk1 172. is there anything specific i need to look for when buying a 172 with say over 70k? also what sort of price ould i pick one up for saw one on here go for £3100 a while back.
any advice is helpfull thanks.
