This blows!

...my exhaust that is! Pulled up at a roundabout this morning and heard a bad boy exhaust coming from the rear. I had a look round to see what was about to pull up and then realised I was all alone at this roundabout! My exhaust is fooked! It blows quite badly below 2500rpm. Got to work this morning to see my back box half hanging off the car! I was quite glad really as I'd heard of people's exhausts just falling off completely on their clios!

I've been in Manchester all week and I've always used Renault Manchester. Did it break there so I could get it fixed by a familiar dealer? Hell no! It waits for the moment I've left and won't be back for a month! So I've rung Renault in Swindon to see when I can get it booked in and a rough price (as I'm not certain how much needs replacing).

I had the car serviced 1000 miles ago, would have been nice if they'd have picked this up then, eh?

The back box is partially hanging away from the section of exhaust immediately before it. I've got it booked in for Saturday. £210 for supply and fit new back box.

I forgot to mention, I think this is the first fault with the exhaust. (I've owned it since a year old and 16k miles) I think that's nay too bad considering it's 3 1/2 years old and has covered 49k miles.

Its the common fault with 172's exhauts Renault should have mentioned it but they cannot 100% for sure say how bad it is if they said it was already ready to fll off and it didn't people would call them liers.
