Tight Oil Filler Cap

Have been taking a look at a clio16v today, and went to check under the oil filler cap, but couldnt get the ruddy thing off! Am I losing my strength or what?!

Does anyone get this? why does it do it?

Feels like some baxtered has superglued it.

mines always too tight to get off even when ive tightened it hand tight i use a spanner to get the fuker off

Its easier to get off when the engine is warm.
