timing belt cost?

sorry to ask but how much would i be looking at for a timing belt and aux belt change? its a 53 plate cup with 30k on the clock

Shop round £350 to £700 depends where you go and if its a dealer use proper parts cash in hand etc

Aux belt is 36k or 5 years
Cambelt is 72k or 5 years

KIts is £140 I think then its 2.5 hours labour

belt alone is about £20, very very rare to need the tensioner changing. takes me 2 hours

very easy to assess. pointless waste of money fitting something that's not needed. Belt is a service item, tensioner isn't

one of the most common jobs i get in is cars that have had a cambelt done, but there making a noise from the aux belt idler!

as i said, its a false economy! but you carry on, keeps me in business!
