timing

hi has anyone heard of timing been out on a clio 172 and it causing it to stall wen been driven n turn over but not re start cheers for help

yes! If the timing belt has broke / slipped it will stop and be dead.

95% of the time valves are bent and its engine strip down.

ok cheers yeah it wouldnt start but turned over garage have said belts fine but timins out so i guess its just slipped they said they needed gun to srort it out or somthing

yeah im beginning to wunder now its at perrys cos thats were i bought it from as a trade in so iv had to take it there as its under warrenty

thanx lee im just hoping and praying gutted really as she did so well down to fcs n back just glad it didnt happen over there da is away on hols so havent told him yet about it

well i would think so i hope so lol as my warranty does not cover wear n tare wich i dont think this is its classed as failure
