Tim's Racing Blue 200

Hi guys, just thought I'd share a few photos of my clio over my first year of ownership. Really have loved every minute of it. Opinions good/bad welcome as always.

Ktec Pro Performance catback
Carbon fibre bullets and exhaust trims

Looks awesome! Not keen on the flag stickers but that's just me

Love the stance on springs and spacers.

pleeeease don't fit the black diamonds. Will cheapen the look IMO.

Thanks mate. In two minds about the decals tbh. I do like them but can't help but think it would look much cleaner if I removed them. Need to de-badge the CLIO and then see about the black badges. They are cheap and just fit over the originals so if I don't like them can easily be removed. Was more tempory until I got some carbon ones, but they need bumped removed and bonded on.

Mines debadged, but the previous owner who did it did it s**t. Thankfully you can't tell without being anal.

The Cleaner the better Tim :approve:

im im also a big fan of the RS skirts. It's a brilliant spec

Thanks mate. I agree, the rs skirts are a nice touch but make it a bit of a mare to get it on a ramp when its lowered.

Love LY!! Imo still the best colour!! Looks stunning in the sun!

I originally wanted a rb 182 but then I found ly

i can imagine. I've got the RS splitter which just say gets over curbs. It's going to be a nightmare if I lower it

The joys of still sponging from rents

Hopefully get the ktec induction kit on next week and then decide on whether to go for straight through pipe and have the decat fitted.

If I was still at home it'd probably have a meg engine in it lol

you ou may want to hold fire on the decat, they give a big flatspot... I'd advise waiting until you can get it mapped at the same time to sort it out

Hey dude,

Lovely car, I have a RB200 Cup, must say I prefer without the stickers, apart from that, lovely!

I also have the Ktec pro cat back and have a de-cat too. There is a noticeable flat spot, but not one that is bad enough to make me want to remove it.

Do the suspension or spacers ruin the handling at all? I have been tempted with these..

That car looks amazing, good height! Not too sure on the carbon bullets IMO due to the little bit of silver between them and the rub strips, but keep up the good work!

Thanks mate. Did you fit decat at same time as exhaust? You find it noticeably louder? I don't mind the Ktec that loud.
Handling not affected by the spacers. Springs are rock solid though. Not gonna lie to you but combined they are definitely my favourite mod.

Thanks mate. Carbon not to everyone's taste but the standard ones got a bit grubby. Get my induction kit fitted next week all being well then get the rear de-badged.

Really nice matey... As said I'm not keen on the side decals, I had them on my old one and it looked loads better when I took them off IMO.

Thanks mate. Yeah they came on the car when I bought it. £100 is crazy money for them lol. Still can't make up my mind on them tbh.

Well if you remove them and change your mind there are a few places that make them for a LOT less than 100 quid lol.

If I choose to get custom straight through pipe made should I get it welded or just clamped on incase the next owner thinks it's too loud?

I actually had the de-cat fitted before the cat back system! I'm a little bit backwards you see.. I wouldn't want it any louder, but then, it's not offensively loud now. Just right for me

Ha! Thanks. See I never got an adaptor sleeve with decat to refit cat for mot because I bought second hand but was thinking if I had the Ktec system anyway then I would already have some sort of sleeve that I could refit cat anyway?

Yep the de-cat is sleeved on, so easy to re fit if needed for the MOT. I just happen to be friends with an MOT tester lol

Lucky! What about insurance. Surely if your unlucky to be in an accident and they take the car away and find a decat on, insurance wouldn't pay out in that case, right?

Not sure if I'm honest. I told them about the de-cat when I declared my cat back, they didnt know what it was and assured me its all fine as I have declared a modified exhaust.

Ahh ok. That's cool. When I called up about my exhaust I was told they werent interested if I changed it and there would be no admin fee either which was good.

My latest mod then was to have a my centre silencer cut off the ktec system my cat removed. I had a custom straight through pipe fabricated which runs from pre cat to back box. Sounds mental on full chat, I absolutely love it! Not too OTT but certainly more aggressive than the resonated ktec. If you find the ktec a bit too quiet like I did, I would highly recommend this mod.
Especially now the cat is removed, exhaust pops and bangs good bit more.
