tiscali problems



  none, just walk
im having a right carry on with tiscali, ive got their upto 8mb bb and they said it would be connected on aug 8th. I tried their usb speedtouch modem and it was working when i tried it on the 2nd of august and i was getting 6mb? (even though i was told my line could only handle 4.5mb??) now im getting 3.2mb if im lucky! sometimes i get 2.6mb??

Now ill be browsing the net and it will just disconnects?

its so annoying when i will leave it on overnight to download stuff- get up in the morning and find it switched its self off during the night!!!

The four green boxes turn a yellow colour and i have to wait a while till they go all green again which can take ages!

i called them and they sent me out another modem and its not made any different.

ive been onto the phone to them and i just cant get a straight answer out of their outsourced call center.

Im sick as a chip with them! i mentioned leaving them and they said it would cost me to leave!

What can i do, has anyone else had this carry on??
 
i've had similar sounding problems. the constant disconnecting was thought to be a BT line fault - so they arranged to have a BT engineer come out to fix things.
Tiscali were a real pain to deal with - it took over a month of repeated telephone calls (which were expensive!) to have them arrange things.
it was fine for a while afterwards but has been tempremental recently.
sorry - not a lot of use; don't really know what to suggest - all of these volume service providers are cr*p nowadays
