To strip or not to strip that is the question?

  sport 182
So I'm off the ring on the 12th of June. In toying with the idea of stripping the rear out. Just wanted to know people's thoughts on this?

Cheers

Will shed a bit if weight out if the car but probably not that noticeable tbh. I'd leave if in and have a less noisy drive over

I did what your suggesting for a trackday at oulton park a while back. From memory i didnt get overtaken until out on track. It makes no difference mate apart from sounding better.

If you're stripping you need to go all out to see any real benefit. If its just the seats and boot carpet, you'll never tell.

Cool thanks for the advice. Think I will try to leave it all in then in that case. But with all the stuff I'm taking might have to come out anyway I guess.

What this man says!

its not really worth the effort if your just removing a few bits, its got to be all or nothing, or keep the comfort and enjoy the trip.

by the way you are writing I'm guessing the ring trip will be your first?
if so, you certainly don't want to be pushing the car that hard for a first visit, ie: don't strip it out to try and save a second or two, you really don't want to be worrying about that but more about taking your time to learn the track at a steady pace.

Of course, if you are removing the rear bench for a little extra space then so be it, makes perfect sense ;)

I Would leave it in, less hassle, quieter long journey and only for minimal gain.

enjoy your trip :)
