Today has gone from bad to worse....

Well today was going to be a bad day anyway. At 11:30am I had a wisdom tooth taken out under a local anesthetic. It wasn't actually too bad, it only took them 4 minutes to remove it and stitch up the gum/hole that they drilled in my jaw.

I thought I would quickly pop into work to grab some Christmas presents that had arrived. I parked up, went to the front entrance only to hear a "smash" noise. As soon as I heard it I guessed what happened, the guy parked infront of me had reversed into me.

Had a quick look around the car and it didn't look like there was any damage to my car and he had only broken one of his lights, anyway the guy was the dad of a girl that works on our helpdesk so if there was any damage I would be able to get hold of his details. I then went inside, grabbed the presents, went back outside and noticed that the bonnet looked a bit strange. After closer inspection the bonnet had a dent in the middle of it and scratch marks over it where his spare wheel of his 4x4 had ran over the bonnet and pushed it down.

I went back inside, told the girl to call her dad and get him to come down so we could swap details. After much pursuation the guy finally turned up and started to deny that any of the damage was done in the accident and that he can't give me any of his insurance details I would have to have them sometime next week. In the end I told him thats fine, but I am taking it through my insurance then and he will be paying for the repairs.

Luckily there was a guy stood outside having a fag from the business next door to where I work and he has said that he will back me up and that he did reverse into my stationary car and that I wasn't in it at the time of the accident. My insurance company think that I shouldn't have an issue reclaiming but after the guy spoke to me it wouldn't suprise me if he says I drove into him or something stupid.

Really has pee'd me off today, why can't people just hold their hands up when they make mistakes. I am now in a really bad mood and the anesthetic is now wearing off and my jaw is killing me :dapprove:

Least you've learned a lesson here, one thing you never EVER do is let someone leave after hitting your car no matter how slight without getting details off them.

Hope it gets sorted for you though.

Dude car will be fine man, this is what we pay stupid amounts of insurance for, plus you have a witness. They will look at the damage and it will be obvious where it came from.

As for the tooth, hope it feels better soon. And think positivly, its friday!!!

tbh should have got detais regardless of the fact you couldn't see any damage straight away, for him to smash a light by hitting your car would have left at the very least a small dent or mark.

Also you should have taken a few photo's of yours and his, he could quite easily repair his and then simply deny all knowledge of the incident (witness or no witness).

Already got photo's That is one good thing I have going for me I suppose! After speaking to my insurance company they said don't worry about his details. they are quite confident that with a witness and everything that has happened I shouldn't have an issue getting it repaired and his insurance company accepting liability (if he is insured...).

Just need to wait and see now

I wouldn't worry about it, you probably won't have to have them! The reason I have had to have them is due to my wisdom teeth being impacted, to remove them they have had to cut away my gum at the back of my mouth, drill away some of my jaw bone to lever the tooth up slightly, then pull them out half way and chop the tooth in half. They then snap the half off and pull the other half out!

To be honest the only thing you feel is the injection they first give you, the rest of it is just pressure on your head/neck. Altogether I have had 5 adult teeth out and 1 wisdom tooth (will be having another wisdom tooth out sometime next year). Just make sure you stock up on painkillers, you might be lucky enough for them to give you some :approve:

I reckon you should report him to police! You can't let these C*nts get away so easily. Hate it when people drives around without insurance!
A old lady smashed into my cousins car and wrote it off, she then gave my cousin her details. So when my cousin rang her insurance company up. guess what?? Old lady is not insured
so my cousin is carless and can't afford to buy a new car and insurance as some c*nts wrote it off. And likely my cousin is gonna lose her job too as she can't get to work as it 15miles from her house.

After he refused to give you his details I was worried that you were going to post that Definately report him and try and get some money off of him towards the repairs. You have photo's showing him driving when he wasn't insured so Im sure the police will be able to do something.

lol loads of people do! im not one of them but nowadays alot of people have no pride in their possessions. and ultimately no respect for other peoples property.
