Blu-Ray in terms of technical problems, consumer confidence and bad press (in connection with XBOX 360 Blu-Ray issues as well) is turning out to be a shower of s***e

The backers of HD-DVD must be laughing and rubbing their hands lol

hmmm i've heard the opposite. bluray content at sony is really quite breathtaking. i'm hoping for HD-DVD to win through as i don't really like the way sony are trying to force the format on us through it's ps3 but it isn't going to be that bad to be honest. in fact due to the storage differences it's technically the stronger of the two...

IMO and having viewed both and owning a Tosh HD-DVD player for a while now there isnt really a difference between the 2.

It all comes down to how the disk has been mastered.

As for reliability issues I bought mine from the States about 3 weeks after release and that was bug ridden. I have done about 5 firmware upgrades so far on it and it seems to be running stable.

This is good in that when HD-DVD players hit the UK most the bugs SHOULD be ironed out.

Don't doubt Blu-Ray isnt better technically but the PR & marketing of it isn't doing it any favours at all, just seems every week theres some setback or technical issue and release dates being put back, doesnt exactly inspire me with confidence thats all, then theres the side issue of the Blu-Ray implementation in the PS3 and general PS3 issues

there is a way to copy hd dvd using hd sid basically it outputs a pure signal with no processing and no extras security etc etc

So when the 360 gets its new hd cd drive does that mean there will be 360 games only avilable for use with the upgraded drive or will the hd cd,dvd drive not make a difference?
