tom tom one?

i am sure i remember seeing on here someone talking about the tom tom one, but for the life of me i cant find the thread using the search function.

does anybody know where it might be? or am i just imagining it?


im sure that somebody said that it worked straight out of the box in a clio, even with the heat reflective front windscreen.

also does anybody know the best price for one? i cant find one under 250 at the moment, but i thought they were cheaper somewhere?

They have a better GPS receiver inside, so are much better for locking onto satellites.

do you reckon its a worth purchase for someone who just wants it for the novelty factor? i dont really do that much travelling, but i think it would come in handy if i did go travelling from time to time.

i was going to get a navman 520 but when this came out it took the lead for my favourite, i heard from a source that they were being sold at pc world over christmas for 220, but havent seen them for that much anywhere.

I got one and love it, I also got some interesting voices for novaltie factor but dont use them much, but also downloaded the speed cam for free off the net, so glad i did, already paid for itself!

I was lucky got it from car phone wearhouse for £220 but also my mate put it in his name as he works there and got a 30%off staff discount! result!

I've had a look around and can't find them for £220, only £249 or like Fubar says £259 with case from PC world.

i know its only 30 quid but i cant be bothered spending 250 on one, 220 is much better.

I always laugh when I see sat navs on display and the driver is on a motor way but staring at the screen - why look at a colour screen when you can look at the real thing by looking straight ahead

I saw this kid the other day in a clapped out Kia with this bloody great screen, god he thought he was the nuts and all he was doing was probably driving from his grans back home to his parents!!

Mustn't be cruel but they do make me laugh!!

ive got that one bought a booster of ebay for £18 never had any problems my mate as the tom tom one they tek us the same routes every time and its a hell of alot cheaper 189.99 in tesco at min

it was a valid price match, but the price that i was quoting had ended, i think.
