Torsion bars

this ebay seller is completely adamant that clio mk's have torsion bars as there rear suspension, however because im too lazy to walk to my car, can anyone shed some light on this please?

mk2 dont

They do have torsion bars, just not used to set height

I'm not sure that the rear beam on a mk2 clio is classed as a torsion bar. Its a solid beam afaik. A torsion bar is a suspension unit in itself, no?

Mk1's definately have them.

If its not height setting then it's an anti roll bar.

As above mk1 has torsion bars

Mk2 and 3

Have coil springs instead

The rear beam on a mk2 clio works in torsion however it is not your classic torsion bar.

yep, but on mk1 the torsion bar is an elastic element used in place of springs. torsioning beam is a totally different thing.
