Tortion bar help..

ok so i got the haynes max power manual for clio Mark 1, but im having trouble getting the plastic cap off (the part where the spline thing is which needs to be removed its like a plastic cover overtop and you need a slide hammer to remove it?) is there some sort of trick to getting it off? i got a 97 clio 1.4 S

mole grips to remove it slide hammer poulls the torsion bar out, or use a 32mm socket and length of 10mm threaded bar and nut and washer

I just used a screwdriver and prised it off with that. worked fine, took 2 minutes each. As for the torsion bar, a 32mm socket and an m10 bolt,nut and washer worked fine for me. Good luck...
