Gutted for you. You could always try the touch up and see what its like then decide if it needs resprayed??

will probably let my bodyshop touch it up - atleast they will do the best touch up job possible

the problem is waiting for the bonnet paint to cure before the film is applied.

i'd have chips away sort it personally

Dont let chips away touch it unless you have seen the the work of the local operator in your area. Most are pants.

If you have a local bodyshop I would trust it to them. Touch up conventionaly/d.i.y will be near on impossible because of the paint.

Hope you get it sorted out ok.

shouldn't be too hard anyway, as its only a pearl coat over a yellow groundcoat

The bodyshop offered to touch it up before when i took it back to them not happy in the way it was chipping.. instead they resprayed it

But im sure they will do an amazing job, there a very good bodyshop and they know the car well now, their renaults shop

Do you have a special "auto response" button? ;)

Sure why not :clown:

As Rich said it all depends on the Tech with Chips away .. I have experienced the good and the bad with them :)

Let us know how you get on :)

If its bad news which I hope its not we could always do a carbon group buy ;)

Haha im still not sure on the carbon thing, it would be very in your face..

Either way the bonnet has to be repaired, be it touch up or respray, but will think about the carbon

The in your face thing don't bother me to be honest its the bad/not very good fit that everone talks about that concerns me and is the only reason I haven't bought one yet

Yours car's had more hit's than the great Elvis himself!!!!

Get it sprayed.... Otherwise it will turn out like my mates car, he had one (stone chip), got it touched up, but water got under the smallest gap and then just started to take the paint work away
