Track car

Car  182, Audi s3, r6
Hello I’m a bit out of touch with fun cars, had kids ect, Iv had a could have 182s in the past and fancy a track car. What is the best to go for 172/182 or a 197/200? Are meglios worth going for?

Also just getting into sim racing just got a Logitech rs50

Thanks for any help of info
Rob

I would just pick whichever version tickles you the most, they are all good track cars.

I've not driven a Meglio as such but I would say this depends on if A. you want a turbo car and B. what track you will most frequently be going to.

As an example, if your local track is Blyton Park, you would have more than enough grunt in a stock Clio to have fun/roll into a field.

If you are looking at bigger tracks then I imagine the extra power would be nice down long straights.

If I was buying a Clio nowadays, it would probably be a 197. They seem to be the best value of the bunch, with 172s and 182s climbing in value and some parts seemingly getting hard to find. That said, I'd also consider a MK7 Fiesta ST. I know someone who just picked up a Cat N one for £2,800 to use for track days. Seems absolutely fine, and I'm not sure you'd get much of a Clio for that money these days!

Nice I will keep an eye out for a 197 then I have the option at a later date to meglio it, Iv got a budget of 5k at the moment

I’m local to brands hatch silverstone and thruxton all around a hour away
