Track day tyres

I am looking into buying a set of 15" steel wheels or a cheap set of alloys for the track or strip for next summer. What tyres are good, I dont want to spend a fortune on them I just want a reasonably good tyre that quite cheap.

Try motorworld I got a set of 15" TSW freeze alloys for £300. They come fully balanced with yokohama tyres. The grip they give is incredible. They do wear quite quickly though. If you find you shred the first set of tyres go for pirelli P6000. They should last twice as long. Yokohamas will give you rubbish lifespan but they will grip like nothing else. Pirellis grip a little less (but not much) and they last much longer. Depends how you drive really
