Track Rod End

My car has just had an MOT and failed due to play on 1 track rod, my car is on springs 60mm,im wondering if coilovers are a better option than springs as its set up for a rougher ride than springs?

the suspension doesn't really have too much affect of bits like track rods and/or ends wearing out, it happens
