Trackday car (advice please!)

I've just got back from the Nurburgring, and I've decided to get a car for track days.

I was thinking of a valver as they suit my budget, and my friends turbo'ed valver was pushing everything out the way at the ring!

So basically, I was just wondering if anyone has/did have a track car and what advice or experience they have.

Thanks :)

Get a ph1 and strip it... It'll be as quick (if not quicker ;)) than your 197 and should be reliable enough to get you to th'Ring, round, and back every time - if you maintain it right...

Mine has been to the ring once. I was at the track 9 hours and managed 18 laps (14 in mine)...

£1,500 will buy you a scruffy goodun now too!

get something quick enough out of the bix engine wise (so its reliable), then do brakes, suspension and interior (strip, buckets, cage)

then just go enjoy!

Agree with the Ph1 suggestion, with the right no-how you could easily have yourself a comfortable track car to get you there and back, reliability isnt an issue with renaults its neglect that puts them on there knees
