Trackday Insurance

Had it once, never bothered since...

Most decent trackday companies offer insurance, or places like competition car insurance do it!

The theory goes you are safer on the track with no unseen hazards, big run-off (at some venues), nice flat surfaces, etc so insurance is less necessary than on public roads..

Obviously if you TOTALLY mess up it could be nasty..

Yeah, Ive done several trackdays now and me & my mates no longer bother with insurance as your safer on a track than a road...

I did Cadwell park a few weeks back and paid 60 quid for the days insurance cover - peace of mind really.

I think a lot of its based on car value mines only a valver so probably got away lightly.

Bit dodgy not having insurance incase u go into some1 else aint it?

For that reason i thought it was mandatory, i didnt know u could chose not to have track insurance and still let run?

interesting...

I didnt think trackday insurance covered what you did to other peoples cars, just any damage incurred to your own. So, its your own cover that pays out if some muppet hits your car.
