Hi Guys.
had a track rod end replaced sometime ago due to hitting a pot hole, the alloy was damaged as well and was repaired, put the alloy back on and got it tracked.
the alloy felt odd under braking so moved it to the back, all has been fine with the stability etc.
the steering wheel was off center after having it tracked so went back the other day to get the steering wheel centered by having the tracking done.
got the car back, when cornering to the left it seems like it wants to go further than i have steered but then realigns itself if that makes sense, in other words is pulling left an right dependant on which way im steering (i'll get to the point in a min
)
so took it back to the garage and they checked everything, re-did the tracking, replaced the track rod end for free as they originally snapped and replaced the bolt in other one the other day.
refitted, tracked, they test drove it and its still pulling mainly under acceleration to the left a bit and generally feels unstable.
my question (finally lol) is that as i originally had it tracked with the damaged wheel on the front and the decent wheel on the back they aligned it to the rear as with most laser alignment and it was fine, now i have swapped wheels over between alignments, they have come to align it to the damaged wheel on the rear which has thus put the tracking out but is showing on the laser alignment as being correct???
sorry for the essay but i needed to put all the info down before coming to what i think could be the reason behind it now pulling.
