is it possible to turn this off on a 172 or a Cup? got a button on my calibra, simple enough! just wondered, as my mate has a 172, and it doesnt look like its possible. Plus i will be getting my Cup next week, and just wondered........

Cup doesnt have it and on the 172/182 yes there is a switch.

IIRC early Ph2 172s didnt have TC.

True, pre 2003 (late 52plate early 03plate) didnt have traction/esp anyway.

well theres deffo no switch there. im sure he said it has it, as it comes on if theres any wheelspin.

hehe well we do take the mickey out of him for driving like a granny anyway.... so hes probably never noticed it doesnt have it!

Tell tim to look at his right knee, just above it should be 2 buttons and a dial on a flat section just above the cubby hole (if he doesnt hace cruise control, he might only have 1 button). If he does have TC, it will be the button on the right labelled ESP. Hit that, and the light on the dash should come on as a warning that you have turned it off.
