Nice one Laura, Defiantly getting there. Just slow the shutter speeds down a bit and you will be there.

Personally i dont find i get any better results from Manual to Aperture or Shutter Priority, I just make more mistakes with manual. But if its working for you...

only problem with even slower shutter speeds is because its not like normal racing where they just go past u, you end up with some epic blur, which isnt great lol

Thats where your panning comes in . As long as the car is staying constant in its angle to you - you should be able to get it sharp.

I've not shot drift myself, but below is a shot i caught by accident at BTCC Oulton, i was messing around with slow pans at the time at 1/30th. Whilst its not razor sharp, this is because 1/30th is far too slow. But you could comfortably go to 1/125 without much issue i would imagine. Anyway, great pics especially considering how long you have been at it, took me ages to get shots that good.

unfortunately thats probably it for this season, round 5 is at knockhill and i cba trecking that far for an event!

its either april or may again next year when it all kicks off again for the 2011 season
