Trouble shooting

  200 FF Storm Grey
My front right side took a heavy knock on a kerb a couple of month ago, handling hasn't been right since, seems very keen to follow any lines/dips in the road, almost like when you're driving along tram lines.

I keep meaning to take it down to North West performance to get some professionals to look at it, just not had the time though, dad is a very good mechanic and he can't see what's wrong, neither can several other people.

I've replaced the track rod end, had the tracking checked and that was only marginally out, now i'm suspecting the suspension may be bent...

So i'm considering coilies but what I don't want to do is payout for coilies and find the car still isn't right.

The steering wheel is slightly out of line despite me having it done with the tracking.

Could the steering rack be bent? Is it most likely the suspension? Or could it be anything and I should sell the car faulty (at a lesser price)?

Any ideas or past experiences will be a big help

Cheers :approve:

Could be the wheel, swap it with the back one and see if you still get the same issue.

The wheel is buckled, I know that for certain, £200 an alloy though so taking me a few week get the pennies, appreciate I may sound like an idiot questioning handling issues with a buckled wheel but surely that would only cause high speed vibration (which it does) rather than handlng issues at relatively low speeds?

Yeh I know it'll always have some negative effect in 1 form or another but would it result in steering feeling very light?

I have a feeling it's the toe angle but this can't be adjusted no?

I thought it was tram lining that was the issue? I don't imagine a buckled wheel will cause the lightness issue. Tyre pressures too high can cause that.

It's the main issue yeh, the lightness in the steering results in it being pulled (like tram lines) wheel bearing was another thought but i'd be able to hear them so :-\
