rs tuner kits that everyone is talkin about,as im new to the game whats it all about,my 182 is standard but do have plans to upgrade,can anyone tell me what this is all about etc the ins and outs of it all,cheers

Basically the kit plugs into the cars computer which allows you see faults with the car (not every fault, but you get the idea) which is what the use at the car garages.

You can also use it to run performance tests on your car, but most importantly to change the ECU configuration so that you car will run faster/smoother or whatever really.

Ever heard of or seen a superchip? It's basically one of those, but without actually putting a chip in, just changing your current one to make your car perform better.

The beauty with this is you could use the standard remap, then do quite a few things to your car and get a custom one made for you car with your new mods by sending performance results over to henk (of course that costs) and you can also pay for a new license and remap other clios.

Well, I'm not sure whether it's mandatory, but for the price, it'd be worth it don't you think?

Lol, it is a remap! You just do it yourself

It will not work with TBs as youd be using a different ECU, Works well with cams, MAY work with a turbo as you can keep the standard programming and use a chip/piggyback device. (need to confirm that with henk/fastchip really)

Lol, it is a remap! You just do it yourself

that what i meant, cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you lol

they're well worth the money, full remap fpr half the price. Handy if you have a decat as you can turn the emisions light off for free when it apears

What sort of gains are you guys getting with this kit? im very tempted. How does it compare to K-tecs group n remap and Rs tuning in leeds?

same as any other remap really just half the price + added extra's. never gonna get much from a remap with a 1*2 really anyway, few bhp and a bit of torque. Raised limit is great too

Yeah I'm wondering that too. Sounds pretty simple - I'm confused though, surely it isn't that easy?
