Turning stiffness

My 182 is now two days old... no grumbles really except I am a big lad and I am stil ltrying to find out where best to have the seat and stearing wheel...

One thing that I do find strange is the steering, in general its fine but when driving with one hand its a little heav, also when corning it provides a little resistance and wants to centre itself quite a lot..

Does every one elses feel likes this... ive not decided if its an issue yet or not as my G/f car (Mazda 6) has a monster power steering system.

Arent Clios supposed to have power assisted steering and NOT power steering?

As in, the power assist only comes in when you have to make quick turns of the steering wheel (like parking the little tiger for example).

ah this would certainly explain what I am seeing/feeling then.

When I bash it round corners and the like its not that bad

Perhaps you need to go to the gym? lol. Mine is two days old now and my steering sounds exactly the same as yours. A bit more effort needed than my 172.

Stiff steering is good... its all very well having power steering when parking, however on the open road i think its nice to have a firm steering like feel.. All decent performance cars have this characteristic.
