TV Tuner in new PC Build

Looking to build a new PC shortly for my room, basically 90% of the time it will be used as a media player.

It'll be running through my Samsung 26" LCD screen and the OS will be Vista Home Premium.

Will I need to install a tv tuner in the PC even though i'll be running through the tv for when I want to record programs to my hard drive like in Windows XP Media Edition?

ye , dont go for the cheap ones though,

if u sign upto www.tvtv.co.uk , they support certain ones then u can use that like a sky+ etch click proggy u want to record.

some cards come with epg , but cheaper models are usually crap. try haupage or however u spell it n do a search for review see what its like

Will allow you to record up to 4 freeview channels simmiltaniosly while watching a pre-recorded... or record 3 stations while watching live TV. Every feature you can think of and some you cant including automatic commercial detection + skipping.
