Two Screens. What Program is best?

I have my laptop linked up to my 40" TV at the moment and have been using it with just the Big screen on for ages. Mainly because when i tried using both it made both screens the same resolution so there was always one that wasnt quite right.

I need a program which will let me run both screens. Each with their own resolution. Also i want it to be easy to move programs between screens.

What is the best program for this?

Someone recommended Ultramon but i wanted to see if there is anything other people think is better?

Just Windows?
It allows you to have different resolutions on each monitor and then move windows between each monitor.
Ultramon is only if you need different taskbars, different desktop background etc.

as above. in your graphics settings, there will be a tab for display 1 and display 2.

Ultramon, has loads of built in features which make life much easier when using multiple monitors.

Definitely Ultramon I'd say. Even bought extra copies work for machines I use.

I've found multi screen support better on ATI cards than Nvidia though, but Ultramon allows you to smooth away any grief from this angle.

I didn't notice my NVIDIA software seems to do it. The only 2 things that ultramon does over nvidia is:

1. Have the toolbar so you can select the programs on the screen they are on.
2. Lets you put different backgrounds on each monitor (Which actually has no use to me as i use a wallpaper changer and it overides both monitors for some reason) This means that on one monitor the background doesn't fit properly.
