Nah not really, they're a road and track hybrid really.

Other than that i'd go with Pilot Sport 3's which are about the same price.

Yep im running these for faily use.
Perfectly fine. Good in the dry. Struggles in the wet if your driving like a nob but otherwise fine for the money.
Better than the proxes i had on before.

Ive not had a moment in them yet, lets put it that way. Definitly not for track though.

Just put on a set of 4 Michelin ps3's for £203 fitted at Halfords... guy in there told me it had cost them £200 from Michelin and they were making £3 profit and must have been a misprice online?... Checked today and they're up to £57 a corner.

205/45/16 PS3s are coming in at £104 and upwards at the moment, which is a lot of cash. I've gone for a couple of Goodyear Eagle F1AS2 for £77 each. I hope I won't regret moving away from the PS3s but I can't justify the extra £30 or so per tyre.

What are peoples thoughts on Conti C.S 5 tyres?
I have a 200 cup used for fast road and possible future trackday.
I have used Toyo 888s on a megane before and loved them, I don't drive the car in the wet. Half decided to spend money on some toyos again but open to other peoples suggestions?

I got a set of second hand NS2R's in 180 compound and I love them for fast road, although you do have to work if it's cold or wet to keep the heat in them.

Whats the go to tyre these days for a 182 on 16" wheels? The 182 i've just bought has T1R's on it and i'm not impressed.

I've had Rainsport 2's and 3's in the past, which are both two soft in the sidewall and made the car feel like it was rolling over the sidewalls when corning hard. Also had PS3's but i found with these lift off oversteer was a problem.

Got Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 3's on my other car and these are pretty good, but doesn't look like they are available in the size i need.

Are the V12 evo 2 a farily new tyre? seems there is a lot of comparison to Pilot Super Sports on various forums. Obviously the concensus is that the PSS are the better tyre, but the V12's are a good option.
I'm leaning towards the V12's now to be honest, the Goodyear F1's are the older version 2 which gets good reviews but the reviews are normally quite old.
Shame there isn't a bit more choose really. PSS would have been great if available in thesize needed.

Anything will likely be better than the Toyo's curently fitted, but I don't want to miss an opportunity to improve the car.

Looking for new tyres for my MX-5 that have a nice stiff sidewall and wear well, but without huge amounts of grip like a track tyre would offer.

Any suggestions?

My 182 currently has v12s up front and ps3s on the rear. Been considering going ps3 or eagle f1 all round. Used the f1s on track on a previous car and they grip really well. Had the ps3s too on a road car and they are awesome on wet and dry.

Lots of choices here. I've purchased some Pirelli P Zero Nero's as soon as I have a ramp free at work I can get the wheels refurbished and new tyres fitted..

Yes that is correct MRF.
If you think RSRs, NS2Rs, AD08r or Direzza's are good you may have to rethink your definition of good.
Been at Donongton today with Rodders testing his mk4 race car, Direzzas were on till dinner then he got offered to try a set of MRF.
Transformed the car, a lot quicker, more compliant on the limit, better under braking.
The Direzzas are a bloody good tyre but they do grip grip grip let go, the MRF were an eye opener.

I've seen a few reports of these MRF tyres supposedly being the R tyre to get. If they really are better than a DZ03 then I'll definitely be getting a set. I'd be interested to see actual data and times comparing them though, not just people saying they are faster
