Tyres and spacers

  BG 182
Hi just a quick question would appreciate a friendly answer (yes ive used the search function and its not really helping me):dapprove:

I recently bought a 2002 172FF and unfortunately it came with 3 different branded tyres . Khumos on the front and an Avon and Conti sport on the rear. Now common sense says to me even though there quite a lot of tread on all of them it would be better to have a matching set of 4 tryes. So through reading previous posts i foung Mctyres who do extremely cheap tyres. Now question 1:

Can i put 205 45 16 tyres on my standard 172 wheels or shud i stick with the 195 45 16. The price for 4 Goodyesr Eagle F1 tyres in 195 form, is just £50 each. Now for the 205 form its £70 each. Is it worth the extra £80 for the 205s?

Question 2: Is it simple enough to stick some spacers on the rear wheels as i was told the only difference on the rear axle between the 172ff and the 172cup was the cup had spacers on the rear. If so where could i purchase these spacers.

Any friendly advice would be much appreciated.
Regards, John.

  Ultra 197 ex 172 Cup
cup doesn't have spacers, just longer axel and the wheels are a different offset. 205 should fit without spacers
