Tyres!

Right,

It's getting about the time where I need to treat my 172 to some new tyres. What is generally accepted as the best to go for? And where to get them? Mytyres or a visit to QuikFlids?

toyo proxeys are good mate! rubber weares down pretty quick thou! or yokos! imo

Cool. I'd heard Toyo's were pretty good. Any ideas on something a bit more durable? Just don't want to be changing them every 6 months!

id say yokohama's then still good all round tyre and last longer!

Nice one lads! Where do you guys normally get them? Mytyres and use a mobile fitter?

Do a search on here before committing to the Toyos - they are not actually that great, they are cheap, but I would be looking at spending a little extra and looking into Goodyear F1's or Michelin Exalto's if you want to spend a bit more. The extra is worth it with winter coming up. Unless it is bone dry the Toyo's can be sketchy.

Thats speculative..... Try lots of different setups then decide.
