Tyres

Right the 17s have gone back on today as I got a 2 inch x 2 inch bit of metal in my tyre and I didnt fancy running round with a crusty spare on. So iv decided to keep em on now. Forgot how nice they look.

Anyway they are in need of new tyres. Any recomendations? Good Year F1s are looking most likely at the min. Anyone know how much? 205/40/17

mytyres seem fairly competitive on prices.

i have just bought a valver and it has F1s on......not bad....

But i still MUCH prefer bridgestones......simply better

on my valver i have had two set of goodyears, NCT £s are better then NCT 5s and both are better then F1s (sorry to say that, but the trade catches more driver then it does grip) great in the wet,

im now on the ultra quick wearing Bridgestone RE720s as supplied to your good self Ben, they are better, but i cant see them lasting long!

try your local independant tyre retailer, good ones will always be the cheapest, but some that look independant are actually owner my Mr Farmer (over 80% i beliieve)

They do wear very fast.....try 1800 miles!!!!!

i was bald after that!

Well im doing 400 miles a week so need some that will last...!

i did do 2 track days on them though....

but even my second set has worn 1/2 way in about 2000 miles.

Jeez, 20 months on my SO3s and swapped the front and rear over so I have 6mm on front and 4 on rear. S02s are supposed to be better but rare as rocking horse now teh S03 replaced it.
