UCH what?

HELP, i've been reading on the forums about a prob my m8 is having, but i have no idea what a UCH is!!

can someone please help me?

Its a computer thingie which is behind the bashboard on the passengers side.
£350 or so for a new one plus programming which needs to be done at Renault.

Yep there 2 realy H5 and H7 (IE top and bottom spec) cars which don't have fogs auto lights etc have bottom spec ones. You can replace a car which needs a low spec one with a high spec one.

i have a low spec ie no fogs, trip computer, auto lights etc etc but i have wiring for fog lights, does that mean my new fogs will work when wired up and new stalk etc?

in aftersales only 1 type of uch is avaliable its just configured to the spec of the car. when they build cars there are 3 types n1,n2 and n3. the aftersales one is a n3 but you just configure it to n1 or n2 spec. prices of uch's are coming down sure their around £160 now + about an hours labour for fitting.

There is a number on the UCH and you can tell them apart from that number
