UCH wiped?

HI, Im new so please bear with me, if there is a post relating to this please point me there.

Daughters got a 51 plate MK 2 ph2 Clio 1.2 16v DF4 model. Wipers and indicators became intermittent eventually making the car virtually unuseable, no starting and no locking eventually lead me to the UCH (glove box module) and not wiring loom fault.
I sent this away to a reputable repairer (!), since then I have been given nothing but excuses and the brush off.
The car wont start, all lights on the dashboard come on except the immobiliser. Ive tries a UCH from a scrap car and the immobiliser light comes on.

The unit has been back twice to be checked but its no good, they say its working ok. I get no help from the company except vauge techno babble about resynching and reprogramming.

Renault dealer says new UCH £280 and programming £150. I dont think the car is work this expense. Im looking at UCH/ ECU sets on ebay around £100.

So is the unit wiped? is there any recoding/ resynching/ reprogramming. All reprogramming points to counting the immobiliser light in the dash but it never comes on!

Any help appreciated, I am in SE London.

If you want it sorted, do it properly first time round. Don't mess about with used units/eBay tat.

These repairs never work. faults might need to be cleared.
you need renault diag software to do it properly.

eBay stuff is worth a shot as long as your sure it's the UCH and there feedback is good

i would buy a s/h ecu kit as these allways go wrong on the 1.2 16v clios
