unblocking a phone

after routing through my draws this morning i've found an old mobile phone a 6210e, it is blocked by orange, basically i lost it some time ago, rang up orange got a new one through insurance, and the old phone turned up a few months later, but it blocked and has been ever since, can it be unblocked ( with ease?/if so how? ) or is it just fit for the bin?

it can be unblocked but is illegal iirc. Some dodgy market phone place might do it for you tho for a score or something
