Undertray Bolts Spinning

Hi -
Currently the two rear bolts on my undertray just spin and cannot be removed due to the rivnuts? part of the subframe spinning.

I have absolutely no idea on this but is it possible to replace them?

Thanks

Yeah, entirely possible.

I'd just sack off the undertray altogether though.

They never go back on any of my own cars. If there's a leak, i want to know about it.

I know what you mean but I would probably like to keep it on (currently just have to bend it out the way).

Is it a case of angle grinding / drilling the bolt off and replacing the cup that's held in, or just go for a tack weld?

Pretty much. I'd grind the top of the bolt head off and work out how to stop it spinning from there.

Drill out the old riv nuts and put new ones, you can get a tool to compress the new riv nuts, looks like a pop rivet gun, or ive used a vicegrip and a long bolt with a few washers before, anything that will hold the nut in place while you compress it
