up stream flow sensor??

well cut a long story short i took the car to the stealers today to have a dignostic check run as i have a massive flat spot and quite loud rassping noise coming from the engine at over 4k revs.

renault changed the plugs as thats what i was told could be the problem.

so went to pick it up and take it for a quick test drive and yet the problem still persists.

renault put it back on the laptop and found out it "could" be the upstream flow sensor

quoted me at least £250 to replace this.

can anyone confirm this is what it could be and if they are trying to rip me off??

just had coil pack and spark plugs changed within the last 2 weeks.

engine is the 1.2 16v is it the d4f??

any help appriciated

could be but thats expensive. how much labour is in that price

isnt that the lambda,the part costs 70 quid from renault iirc so 130 labour for unplugging and unscrewing it!tis rather expensive

not sure what it includes....

my first reaction was how much is that f***in gona set me back. remember they had just charged me £60 to change spark plugs even though they didnt need doing! so i was rather annoyed. plus the fact that i had just spent £141 on a coil pack gettting repalced last week.
