Upgrading Brakes on My Clio RS - Recommendations ??

Hi everyone,

I am considering upgrading the brakes on my 2018 Clio RS as I have been doing more spirited driving lately and I would like some advice. The stock setup has been decent but I feel like it struggles a bit under heavier loads;, especially on twisty roads.

What do you guys recommend for a noticeable performance improvement without going overboard: ?? I am looking at options like performance pads, slotted discs and maybe braided brake lines. Also.., are there any specific brands or setups that have worked well for you: ?? I would prefer something that improves stopping power but doesn’t become a headache for daily driving.

Lastly.., do I need to worry about upgrading fluid along with these changes: ?? I have heard good things about DOT 5.1 but not sure if it’s overkill. Any input on costs or install tips would also be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing what’s worked for you guys !!

With Regards,

Braided lines, Megane 250 plain carbon disks. at the moment, I run winmax w6, I have used W5, DS1.11, ferodo 2500, if just road use, plenty of sintered pads out there. Rear pads can be almost anything, as they do not do an awful lot. If you stick to your std. disk size, use plain disks.

Brembo conversion, that said I used the stock setup on 2 track days with better fluid and just brembo max pads. If i wasn't planning on a few more track days (and they didn't pop for sale at the right price) I'd be still using that setup with some extra cooling. I have also removed the wind deflectors to get more air up to the calipers
