Upper ball joint help clio 200

Hi please can someone tell me what is the best way to go about fixing this please.

Been for mot there was play in my wheel and the guy showed me a joint in an aluminium casing and said it needs replacing.

You've got 2 options:

1) complete hub assembly for about £170 from Renault
2) replace the ball joints (£70 each ish)
